is power switch OK?
PDA is switching automatically when you give battery inside, but phone section you must switch by pressing button. maybe this button is faulty. check keyboard...

hi,
Change the flex.
The problem with the 9210 is that the flex comes as keyboard unit and flex as one.(i mean the flex below the flex cover)
I had this fault a couple of times ,phone dead pda working.
good luck.

first test flex connector (is easy and quick to see with microscope)

because I don't know how to test 9210 board, If this problem would mine... I would change most possible faulty components... first reflow/rebouling or change ccont. If ccont don't repair phone then I suspect from flash ic... I think the phone flash ic (not the pda) would be the same like any phone from same time of 9210 manufacture (3310,8210,8850)... monday I will compare flash ic's and will tell u a request

I know that I don't help you a lot... but I will try

best regards
