N95 8gb no signal - GSM-Forum

my n95 8gb has been fine for about nearly 2 years but now it wont pick up any signal at all! 1 time it happened before but i slide the phone up and it worked again........ anybody know how to fix this problem?

first of all diassamble ur set & check inner an****a , clean pads & contacts.

post the result mate.

just cleaned the contacts, as i was cleaning i looked at a silicone chip on the mainboard, i can see the soldier between the mainboard and the chip, on the other ones i cant see any soldier joining them, could this chip need reheating?
