N95 can't stream video over wi-fi - GSM-Forum

I have a n95 and a netgear router at my house. i can view internet pages and do everything else, but whenever i try to stream audio or video it won't let me. for example, if i go to cnn mobile or youtube mobile, it will load the videos that are available but if i try to watch one, it will try to load it and a few seconds later it will say "unable to connect to server. file not found" or "server time-out". i have tried to change the settings on my router and disabling the firewall but it doesnt make a difference. i can however download videos and save them onto the phone. i was able to get the streaming video to work at my friends house, but even there it did not always work and the video was interupted. is this a problem with the settings on the phone or the router. helps is appreciated. thanks in advance.

I had the same issue and fixed it by doing the following on the netgear WGT624 Wireless router.

1. Logon to the router admin page
2. Click Port Forwarding/Port Triggerring
3. Select the port triggerring service.
4. Add a new service named RTP
5. Service type will be TCP:554 and Open Inbound connection from port 6970 to 32000 for any user or to a particular IP used by N95.
6. Click Apply to take effect.
7. Go to m.youtube.com and it will work.
