N95 problems needs help please - GSM-Forum

a friend of mine gave me an N95 that he found and i wanna see if i can fix it and use it if possible, i know u guys have alotta knowledge since i read so much u guys have posted

the phone has water damage since the white sticker under the battery is red, but when i took the phone apart i didnt see no corrosion so i guess it either dried up or didnt get much water inside

the phone powers up and all the buttons make the beep sound when they are pressed except the camera button

the buttons on the top slider all make the beeping sound but dont light up

the screen dont come on but when u leave the phone for a while u can see the screen saver on the screen (the time, date, and profile)

the screen is not cracked

when the camera lid is open the side buttons light up in order like they are supposed to

now i can buy another LCD and swap this one out and see if that would fix it but i dont wanna get stuck with an extra LCD if that wasnt what the phone needs

i dont have any flashing boxes or any of those high-tech tools out there to fix BB5 phone

any suggestion is well appreciated, and any ideas will be great

im willing to try anything to fix this phone

ok buddy its keypad ic problem may b damaged coz of water just try heating it with some paste ofcourse and post the result it will work

IF IT IS 25 PIN IC THEN U CAN EASILY MAKE JUMPER LIKE 6600 DISPLAY IC.
