Nokia e50 "sim not valid" IMEI ok - GSM-Forum

Hi! I've e50 which when i put sim card in phone it writes: "SIM card not valid", and when I try call it restarts. I erased it, flashed with newest firmware, write pm and still same. I checked and IMEI is not blacklisted. What I have to do?

1. Check SIM pins with a multimeter in 1k scale to know weather there is a short with ground.
If not
2. Change the SIM ic. it'll b ok

yes software use jaf bb5 king ....................unlock ur phone ............problem solved

sim card not valid is unlock not yet. u can use bb5 without tp to unlock.good luck

give log file .connect jaf or ufs check info.

How can u surely say its software? I have met some pieces with SIM NOT VALID & have solved by hardware. Just try.
