need help with a 5300 repair

my screen cracked and so I installed a new LCD. The screen works but now the menu button and couple of the buttons around the menu button don't work anymore. If I take the front case off and press the button directly on the circuit board the buttons don't work either.

So I tried replacing the circuit board that's behind the LCD (the one that the buttons are mounted on) with a working one from my friends 5300 but then the screen doesn't work... it lights up but only white, no picture.

so where do I find a replacement circuit board that will work with my 5300? or what are my other options?
