can anybody know how work ID terminal on usb (battery?)
Because I connect gnd and +5V (usb) and 8800 say: "charger not supported"
Maybe we need resistor on ID (bellow bga chip)?

yes its realy good solution,,i tested on one arte they have faulty R2007 EMMI filter and it's work,,

so,
other case,,same model,Arte,
first it was charger not supported,,
then i make your solution and now dont come this message charger not supported but dont show about charging,,,
when connect to PC all works,,PC suite,,soft update,,but dont charging,,

i liik arrond btemp resistor and see,,somebody try to change this resistor and broke pcb contact pads,,,
so ,questions is now,,
where i can solder this 47K btemp resistor,because i dont found any point or contact or pad where is connection to BSI and Btemp at the same time,,

please if you have any Idea,,...

i haven't 8800 arte pcb for test.
but try with microscope and scalp to find btemp wire. will be hard to make this but for now I not think other way.

but seems like you dont understand my case,,
I know where is place R3401,this is very simple to find on shematics,,
but on my Arte PCB there is broken solder pads on the place where R3401 was.

so,my friend please look the picture and if you have any idea how to find this lower pads point please help....

i also have charging and usb conecting problem on a nokia 8800 arte. i changed the R2007 but nothing changed. any new ideas?
