NEW EASY METHODE FOR µBGA CHANGE WITHOUT REBALLING! >>incl. PIC's<< Part 2


4.) We've got it. Now fluxx on the balls, and rehot all the area again, so will the PCB like clean REBALLED


5.) If you worked clean, then you can later see the complete "Ball Area" like this.


7.) Take a other ccont (or the same) clean the restballs of the µBGA with Solder Iron and Desolder Wire.


8.) Now fluxx on the "BallArea", position the µBGA right on the PCB, and Resold it with Hotair inner circle moving..

9.) The end.



Don't cry if ya made a mistake, after 2-3 times you will be able that you can change it with closed eyes

I made some experiments and this work good .
But sometimes few balls don`t stay on the board.
What to do in that case ???

yes, sometimes possible. In this case please use microscope, and reball with solderiron in this missing ball area.

it's very good to be able to reball an ic, especially if you cant buy other ic (rare cpu, etc) ... I sometimes need to reball, other times need to change by this other method... all experiences are good for repairing
