Strange 3310 problem - GSM-Forum

hi all, I recently changed a 3310 with flash ic problem, it was water damaged before... now phone powers on but when charger is connected it shuts-off then hangs while at "OFF" then hangs?

That IS strange... When the phone is charged when its off, its in "Acting dead" mode, ie its turned on, however its pretending to be off. Have you tried reflashing?

Trafix,

after plug charger , that PWN from CCONT send to CHAPS ,
i think, you have to remove CHAPS and CCONT , and clean that PCB again !
water damage phone always have new problem come out after you repair it !

ok guys I will try again.. I have to get advices first cuz it is sooo difficult for me to change flash

every thing has "first"
try it more times, then you will very good to do it
just careful that heater not too much !

thanks all, I have changed both ccont and chaps.. I usually get 50/50 success rate in changing flash... maybe its because I just get them from dead boards that are trashed or sold by the owners.. and sometimes I'm too tired to change flash again after the nth time that i did (cuz sometimes I know it is 100% flash ic fault

)
my friend hanukkah is sending me brand new flash ic's this week end maybe I'll get more phones to live

Thank's for the reliable tips here in the forum cuz i certainly learned a lot.. not bad for a business course student I could say
