Member: 14004 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 6 | Check line: LCD pin 1 -> C409, C413, VBB and line: LCD pin 7 - > C410, C412. Check/replace C409, C410, C412, C413. Then check line from LCD pin 4 to ROW5 (J301 testpoint). Then check line from LCD pin 8 (LCDRSTX) to J314. Then check line from LCD pin 2 to testpoint J303. Finally, check line from LCD pin 3 to R304 and check/replace R304. If all that doesn't help, and you are sure that your LCD and SW is OK, replace MAD. Good Luck! |

Member: 18570 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | A small trap but maybe not your problem here: Look at the sticker on the back, make sure it is '3310' or '3315'. Maybe it is a 3330 or 3350 with different cover. In that case, be sure the correct software for that model is flashed into the phone. If the wrong software is in the phone the LCD will not work because the 3350 and 3310 LCDs are electronicaly incompatable. Its a little trap, but sometimes people change covers and leds and at first glance you might incoeecttly identiy the phone and flash it with the wrong s/w In that case, just re-flash with the correct s/w and also re-flash a virgin eeprom into it, then make sure you have the correct LCD in it. There are a couple of capacitors that can give trouble also, see my help pages. ------------------------- repair help at www.centralpark.net.au/repair.html |
