Nokia 1100 insert sim card


Helo nok 1100 olwaus insret sim card whit sim in.
Phone acept sim onlu when i push the phone somehaw.
So some lines are broken, a chek smol cristal near sim is ok.

Jes that is enough when sim and conectors are dirty. But this in not the case.
There is brocken lines on pcb, but can not do much because all bga is glued.

What makes U thinks that it is a brocken line , I think it could be the ESD filter ( R388 ), if there is no taruma or direct cause of dammage U know.

Lets start with the SIM reader pins , check continuety of each of them to C381,382,and 383,as at the picture.

If every thing is allright try to reflow or change R388. This problem will not be more than those points.

As you have to press the phone to read SIM means dry solder or open pins. Use good flux and properly reheat the area near SIM pads and components related to it. things should be OK.

SIM voltages are coming from CCONT as VSIM. Resolder/Rehot CCONT. Pin # 3 and 5 of SIM pads will have have voltage peeks after powering ON the phone. Check it. If still have the problem. Replace CCONT. If still have the problem, SIM digital lines are coming from MAD and it can not be repaired.
