Nokia 1100b to 1100a is it possible? - GSM-Forum

I own a Nokia 1100b but the network in my country does not accept the band this model works with (that was what they told me).

They said I need the Nokia 1100a as works for the correct band.

Can I make something to make the 1100b functional on the network?

Can you please translate this to a non so technical language so I get a technician and explain this?
