nokia 1600 working only with some sim cards - GSM-Forum

cleaned with ultrasonic cleaner after water damage but works only with some sim cards. otherwise it shows insert sim. strange is that the original sim card is from the same provider with the accepted one and works well with other phones. does anyone have an ideea?

note: tried 2 cards from orange romania... one is ok the other shows insert sim
tried with cosmote romania....ok
tried with vodafone romania... insert sim

try replace simcard ic (R2700).

replace sim card ic crystal and your phone will be ok

replace the sim ic or remove the sim ic & make jumper .
like at this pic.
your problem should be solve 100%.

my frind is sim problem make ajumper

if it accepts 128k sim,
then dont make jumpers.
only change sim ic
