Unhappy Nokia 3-00 Battery Drain Problem

I recently washed my Nokia C3-00 in the washing machine! Not smart but I have it working again... Except that the battery only lasts around 12 hours. I have a brand new battery. The screen is a little messed up from water damage but I've tried disconnecting it to see if it's draining the power and it makes no difference - 12 hours is about all I get. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Richard
