NOKIA 3100 "Insert Sim Card" - GSM-Forum

phone is unlocked and have been using fior ages on orange
one day it crashed, so turned off and put back on but started saying "insert sim card" when it is already in

have tried other network sim cards comes up with same message

please help

this is a hardware prob u have to repair sim area check sim ic i think u dont know in mobile hardware repairing
batter give this phone some other mobile repair man

the problem is that through oxygen manager i can still access the phone and view my phonebook and messages
is that anyway i can completely wipe the phone data before giving it to some
i have got important stuff on there

try to reheat the sim ic.

sim ic is like a glass ic and your phone is creshed . if problem countinous by re heating the ic you have to change it. or remove the ic and direct it with jumper. you can conform sim ic by calculating its pins resistence with a multy tester on a lower countiniuty renge with ground. compare resistence with an ok phone .
