Hi,

I have received a Nokia 5210 to repair...
The guy got crazy and threw it against the wall!!!

The Damage:
1) Broken Cover
2) Broken LCD
--------------------------------------------------------------

1) I inspected the PCB:
The pcb looked ok! No damage visable..

2) I replaced the LCD screen:
The screen worked perfectly but displayed:
INSERT SIM CARD (...a working SIM CARD was in the phone!)

3) I replaced the SIM READER:
It still displayed: INSERT SIM CARD ?

Can anyone maybe help!

Does anyone mabe knows where I can find a diagram of the
Nokia 5210 showing where what components are?

AFR,,

only you need to check , CCONT and MAD for insert sim !
it almost same as 8210 !

Hey willy, the phone parts is the same as the 33xx not the 8210!!! This throwing against the wall seems to be common. My friend did this to his new 8250 when he broke up with his lover.

try to find if there is some thing missing near sim reader!!
i' ve recived a 5210 after a big drop!! (with broken lcd also) with a small componment missing and dont read all sim cards !!

I have the schematic "photo's" for the Nokia 5210.

Can't remember where I have downloaded it from.

Check the CCONT soldering first.

Thanks! It was the CCONT. After reflowing it worked perfectly!
It was a expensive throw

LCD for the 5210 is not the cheapest here in South Africa!

I have same problem,i first re-flow CCONT but dont work.Then i replace CCONT,but phone still not working.I think there are broken balls under MAD2.
