Nokia 5230 restarting when SIM card inserted - GSM-Forum

Hello, I have a problem with a Nokia 5230, it works perfect but I cannot make calls. Whenever i put a SIM card on the phone it keeps restarting over and over. If I turn on the phone without SIM card it works 100% perfect.

I tried hard reset the phone but it doesn't work, it seems like a hardware problem.

I tried 3 different SIM cards and it didn't work.

Maybe it's a problem with a IC that has to do with the SIM card, any ideas on reflowing / changing? Thank you.

I've already flashed with the latest firmware but it doesn't work, it seems like a hardware problem, other ideas?

SOLVED!

The resistor was ok, so I removed the shielding and reheated the AVILMA IC, I put back all together, inserted a SIM card and... worked!

nokia 5233 witout sim ok but with sim switch off after nokia logo.........bro. have u got any solution for this fault,,,,if have please share
