Nokia 6085 flip display problem.. - GSM-Forum

Hey!
i got a 6085 with a problem.. it was dropped and broke the housing.. i got a new housing and flex mounted.. it works okey, but a little problem, the outer display shows the same thing wether the phone is "closed" or not.. so i was wondering if there is a flip "switch/sensor" ?

There is indeed a magnet and sensor.

The magnet is in the display half to the bottom left of the main display side of the board. i.e. Looking at the phone open in front of you 0.5cm to the right of the left hinge and 0.5cm up.

The sensor can be tested with a magnet from outside. Approx 0.75cm above the left soft key is the location of the sensor. Moving a speaker magnet from an old 3310 speaker should show if it's working or not!
