NOKIA 8800 faulty lcd - GSM-Forum

my lcd has stopped functioning there is no power in it at all i understand this can be fixed simply by replacing the flex ribbon is this true could someone please confirm

check your on board connector first... then might try other flex cable with lcd... and set will be ok...

Your n8800 seems to be water damaged. It's too expensive to buy new flex with LCD. Try to repair your's. Look at photo. B.R.

no it is definetly not water damaged. i didnt make myself very clear it does power up but it doesnt light up but i can still hear the nokia sound when i power it on i am waiting for my t6 screwdriver to arrive then i will check the diagram thanks
