Nokia 8800 Headset Problem


I have a 8800 i am quite sure it has not been dropped in water it was working perfectly fine now the handsfree icon (the car icon) comes up even when it is not connected and no sound comes other then from the loudspeaker how would i go about fixing this??

Try to clean and reheat the earpies connector(Bottom connector) if still change it and post a reply

bro i also have same problem (handsfee mode) but problem is in upper strip connected to display can any one solve this problem

i have also 8800 here same at your sir I am not sure that the flex is defective because i'm not yet trying to change another flex, only i do is cleaning the flex terminal of the headset and charger, resolder all the capacitors in the bottom side of the flex, i tried to reset but still the same. Is this phone has an headset driver( I.C)?

Sir where is the hands free connector located? i try to power on the unit with out the charging terminal where the headset terminal belong and i observe that the headset icon is still appeared. Is the flex has the problem sir?
