There are two ways to this: it could be as a rresult of software or hardware disorder. However, with the kind of experience we live with in our region of the world, I will advise you first check the phone for any liquid contact. This might have occurred with the knowledge of the owner but he would pretend as if he is oblivious of it. In another case, user might not be aware at all. Whichever the case is, just check the phone for such rusts that might have resulted from dampness and clean thoroughly with nitrocellulose thinner. Dry the PCB and reassemble the phone to see its behaviour. You might eventually need to flash if the situation remains the same. Remember, get the highest version available to write to phone.

Me also had the same problem... but when i asked the user history about the phone.. before that he change the touch screen, after that the phone when inserted simcard it restart, but when standby without simcard its okay...I flashed it with latest firmware and product code also won't help. so i change the TOUCHSCREEN WITH A NEW ONE... ITS DONE. hope this help.

Remove L7504 coil. nokia 311 and 300 ur set 100% ok.
