HI THERE

i'am having one noikia N91 the problem is when we put the batt cover the handset goes hang, i think that there is some problem in hard disk without cover it works fine
is there any code to format hard disk ?

magic or what, how or is there any magnetic contact with rhe back cover?

dear there is a magnate at the back cover when we close the cover the sensor which is there in the motherbord detects and then the hard disk work so kindly give me the appropriate solution guys

Hi ! TECHNOTRONIX !! It's no manhetic at all. It's hard drive problem U have to change it.Only this way can solve Ur problem.See the picture.

u mentioned clearly ur hard disk is defective ,it may be defective by installing wrong software or any other hardware fault ,first check with the new one after that u can easily get what is the real problem .if the new one shows same then the fault is in ur board .

well for thoose who can't reach new hard drive like i couldn't follow these steps.might just work for you too
1. remove back cover and restart phone

2. enter menu and navigate to hard drive (should be menu>tools>harddrive)

3. Ignore 'hard drive not found' error message and click 'options'

4. while options still displayed, replace harddrive back cover and wait(wait is gonna depend on how bad ur drive is)

5. after a few minutes, phone would go white screen and reboot to 'hard drive not formatted' error

6. format drive first shoud take about 15mins(use charger while formatting).
At the end you can now go and check hard drive as usual.
once again this time click options and format fully ,another 15minutes wait.
then all should be well!

Could we use 8gb hdd for replacement instead of 4gb? Is it possible?

i have n91 in which the problem is , it restarts after the set is fully started ...

i have also tried not to use the battery cover but same problem remains ..
i have flashed the set ,

what could be the problem ?
