Nokia's HARD BALLS - GSM-Forum

It seems nokia has made their BGA balls on IC very hard to melt.
was able to melt the balls only after twice the time using hotair and only at very high temperature.
7610 CPU was dismounted but is already damage by extreme heat.
we also tried removing Flash and UEM of 5140 and 7610 also very hard to do.

it is much easier to remove sealed/glued IC.

will laser infra red soldering device help?

so now this explains that in the future gsm boards are said to be unrepairable.
maybe this is one mentioned by our commisioner.

After reading the *.pdf is apparent that Nokia want to make our life's a little tougher but I'm sure we can handle it
