Member: 21387 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Reflowing question? I have just bought a SMD work station and intend to try to repair loss of signal etc, what i would like to know is what parts to reflow? I dont want to kill any phones also are there any sites with details on replacing cobbas etc. I have removed some chips from an old board and it looks very difficult to replace them. Thanks |

This is the very begining, else is up to you!Have on mind that if your station is bad-all above is useless!!!!!!! Have a nice day!! |

Member: 1060 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 10 | let we say ... when chip is good solder ? for me, i know, with flux, that tin be come bright , it mean, "good" already ! you can try this ,, eg, you going to install CCONT chip ! but when is it "good solder" ? it is easy like 8210 CCONT,, beside CCONT, there is many capacitor, C150, C151, C152......... you start to heat that CCONT, and try to bit to move C151,, if C151 can move , then it mean around CCONT all "GOOD" already ! Member: 2721 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 23 | btw reflowing BGA chip is in most cases just a temporely solution, better is to reball them. You are new in hw...so take a cheap working phone like nokia 3210, and try to take out, reball and place cobba or ccont...is better to learn on your own phone as destroy someone phone... |
