Question Removing 6220 classic keypad

Hi all

I'd like to remove my 6220 classic keypad in order to insert some paper underneath (to improve the keypad feel). Can anyone tell me how to unclip the keypad please? I don't want to snap anything by prising the wrong spot!

Thanks,
Ian

are you able to remove the front?

if so, using a screwdriver while pulling "outwards" on the snaps will release them. Usually, releasing the top ones will allow you "wiggle" it off, if not, release the bottom one but be more careful here.

I see what you mean, my problem is that I'm not sure if you can remove the front and, if you can, where the snaps are for the keypad. Since you can buy replacement keypads on ebay etc I assume the keypad is meant to be removable...

Unfortunately the comprehensive rar file linked to above doesn't contain any images of the 6220 classic, only the original 6220.

You can remove the front without any screws. The best way is to use a nokia plector, and slide it under the cover, right where the front makes a sort of contour. Do it on both sides and you should be able to remove it. And dont forget to remove the battery cover first.
