Repairing blank display on 8210.........

For now only solution to repair blank screen when u get into inbox,or when startup logo shows or etc etc........is changing display.........
Is there any solution to repair this without changing display???
because the display as i know isnt faulty.because when i try it with 10 pieces of 8210 it works on 2 pieces without problem.......
So it must be something in hardware difference.......
Thanx...regards...........

you might find it works OK on some phone and not on others, I had an LCD that was doing the same thing. intermittant on just a few phones. I check on the Clubnokia Engineering Bulletins and found that there is a massive batch of 8210 LCD's that are faulty,

if you look at the bottom of the LCD/keypad frame just below the 0 key you will see a batch number in black,

if the batch number begins E7 then the LCD is 100% faulty and also many of the ones that start E6 are also faulty.

A nokia service point will swap this without question,

This solution with changeing capacitors is not usefull. It works on 30%. Dissapearing appears later (after 3-5 min into inbox). Changeing displays - 100% true solution.

The best way for repairing 3310 :
get display from 3210 and insert in 3310
?bad? display from 3310 insert in 3210
BOTH PHONES WORK FINE
for 8210 only new display

tested with several phones

- for 8210 change C331 (on phone PCB) from 100nF to 470nf or higher....(you may also change capacitor on disp to higher cap.)....yes it's true that cap. change will help only for some displays...cca 60% of that phones will have that fault in some days again......(E7,E6 8210 LCDs has very poor quality and changing characteristic for some time)

- for 3310 change C410 from 470nF to 1uF...it works for me (no phones returned back)

regards

Vicky
