Talking Replace Your Pa Here!!!!!

STEPS TO REPLACE 32XX/33XX/62XX/82XX PA MODULE

1 - SET YOUR HOT AIR TEMP TO +-450C, AIR FLOW LEVEL TO HIGH
2 - HEAT UNDERSIDE OF PA UNTIL SOLDER BUBBLES
3 - NOW SET AIRFLOW LEVEL TO MEDIUM AND HEAT TOPSIDE
4 - THEN SLOWLY LIFT PA WITH SHARP FLAT METAL OBJECT
5 - DO NOT APPLY TOO MUCH FORCE WHEN LIFTING PA,YOU WILL
DAMAGE SOLDER PADS ON PCB,NOT REPLACEABLE.
6 - CLEAN SOLDER PADS WITH A GOOD CLEANER E.G (ALCOHOL)
7 - ALIGN NEW PA ON PCB CORRECTLY AND DO STEP 3.
8 - WHILE APPLYING SLIGHT PRESSURE WITH FLAT METAL OBJECT
ON TOP HEAT THE PA UNDERNEATH UNTIL PA IS PRESSED
FLAT ON PCB.
9 - ALLOW PA TO COOL OFF FOR ABOUT 1MIN AND TEST PHONE.

HINTS:
1 - FAULTY PA IS NORMALLY CAUSED BY TRANSCEIVER BEING DROPPED TOO HARD,MOISTURE,OR FAULTY FACTORY PART
2 - NEVER SUBSTITUE BRAND NAMES WHEN REPLACING PA E.G,
(REPLACING HITACHI PA WITH PHILIPS PA).THIS WILL CAUSE
MIS-ALIGNMENT AND PA WONT WORK
3 - WHEN PA IS PHYSICALLY DAMAGED IT NORMALLY CRACKS
UNDERNEATH.
4 - IN CASE OF 82XX REMOVE POWER SWITCH BEFORE REMOVING
PA BECAUSE TOO HIGH TEMP WILL MELT PLASTIC IN SWITCH.
5 - ALWAYS PRACTICE WITH DEAD PCB BEFORE TRYING THIS SKILL
ON WORKING PHONE.

Ps:I FORGOT TO SAY,NEVER HEAT YOUR PHILIPS PA FROM THE TOPSIDE,THE PLASTIC COVER WILL MELT.ALL HEATING MUST BE DONE FROM UNDERNEATH.

mujie;
my question is:
1. are you sure the actual/approx. temp is 450 deg. celsius on the hot air? i think this temp. is enough to burn the PCB or might cause warping of the board. did you use digital thermometer to read the actual temp.? if not how could you estimate if it's approx. 450 deg. celsius.
2. how much is the time heat exposure of the newly replaced PA to prevent damage from it?

450C OF ***** FLAME WILL SURELY DAMAGE PCB,THAT TEMP I SET ON MY MAGNUM HOT AIR STATION,IT IS 450C.IF YOU USE A LOWER TEMP E.G(300C-350C) PA REMOVAL WILL TAKE 6MIN AT LEAST. TIME TAKEN TO REMOVE PA IS ABOUT 30-40SEC WITHOUT DAMAGE.I'VE BEEN REPLACING PA WITH THIS METHOD FOR OVER 2 YRS,AND I NEVER DAMAGED 1 PA.

Hi friends,
To avoid damaging customer phones you can try the desold and sold PA from a totaly dead phone. So after many times you will be able to remove it and replace it with out any problems.
Goood luck

@mujie

you can replace hitachi pa instead of philips pa by removing R311..See the old post or have look at MAD&MEMORIES DIAGRAM..
I tried that many times and it worked in all of them...__jero__
