Question can plz someone explain what means watchdog is grounded?


hi pipl,

just got my jig delivered and now i got to the point where i need to check something with watchdog grounded and =0...what is this excatly...can someone explain 2me

On 3310, on front bottom side of the board (keypad side), there are contacts used for service testings. PIN 9 is WDDISCX (watchdog disable)... I think it must be grounded for some testing ... but maybe someone knows more about this...

aliright...ic...will give a try 2morrow...ops...i mean later on today alreadythnx...better than nothin...what ive done in meant time...i just tried GND to R224 and + to C316...and even got 2.8V

but then if i follow service manual fault finding chart im coming to faulty ccont...which is not any good 2me as i dont know how to check when ccont is faulty...or working...so im in stuck with millions of my 33xx...another fault i found is very common that R220=0...but must be 3.6v...dont know if there is way around this problem...or just change it....

if anyone interested i found out that jig's have their own pin connected to watchdog and gnd already...all i needed to do is to find it...and johny u were right...so...i was just stupid

yeah...like today...first time reballed ccont from scrap...it doesnt matter that phone still deadcoz i think its dead ccont or pcb is faulty...coz voltage on all test points is ok...

Hiya


Here we go....


When phone normally powers up and software is initialised, watchdog must be served every 8 sec ( short pulse from 1 to 0 ) by software or ccont will power phone down after 30 sec from last pulse


When You disable watchdog by connecting wddisx to ground, ccont can't power phone down so You can run check and tests of signals...

No...But if phone is in working condition You can switch it on with BTEMP....
