SO STRANGE 3310 , Experts pls help! - GSM-Forum

Today we`ve got a 3310 with no ring,
so i shorted pin 6 of user-interface-ic (ic with 20 legs) to buzzer connector, now ring is working , but another problem happened!

when i turn OFF vibrator in menu, when phone ringing, it rings for 10 seconds without vibrate, but then vibrator starts to work!!!
when i turn ON vibrator, vibrator is always working (OK)

when i remove short from pin6&buzzer, then again no ring, but vibrator will be ok (vibrator not work when i turn it off)

any help?

I think the connection between Pin 6 and buzzer pad was bad. Any short circuits.

If that was ok change UI!

if the connection is ok ( no short circuites)
the you have to change the 20legs IC

Dear vahid
I agree with gibso.change interface IC first (I think you changed it until now).Otherwise clean good under ccont IC(May water dropped).

No it may not be water effect , the problem is either a software problem ( firmware bug ) or an iternal failuer in the N400 driver chip occeurs after it warmesup during the 1st 10sec.

- Connection between pin6 & Buzzer is 100% ok.
- N400 already changed (twice!)
- CCONT is ok.
- phone has been full flashed with different versions, even v6.33!

so, any other idea?

Dear Vahid
Please check two pin of vibrator in pcb with multimeter or ohmmeter and compare with safe pcb .If there is different and masurment be under 150 ohm you pcb has short line in middle layer and for fix it you should replace N400 and then with strong power supply should input 15 volt in vibrator pin for about 30 seconds and then put N400 again and with othere wire you should repair lane of vibrator.I think you can get result with this solution(I hope).sorry for my ENG.
