Solve this 6600 riddle......

I have 2 nos of 6600 both came in with just the light flashing problem.....

Both when tried to flash through UFS threw 2nd boot error......

Changed the SRAM and everything went well with flashing

But the problem is the "NOKIA" text stays there in the screen permanently....

I try changing the UPP, another SRAM, R385, N380...

But its all the same.....

This is strange to me I have not come across this sort of problem before in 6600..

If I click init normal mode with UFS while mode changing it flashes "contact retailer" for sometime and gets into "insert sim card" but with a battery I am not able to boot the mobile into normal mode.

Willy I had tried your boot up troubleshooting document even which says to flash with PPM software for this problem....

But no improvements

Will be greatful if somebody can help me....

Thanks

Ciao.

@Ciao

if you can see the boot up NOKIA logo,
then you have to make your flash cable "force local mode" !
check cable replace BSI to GND resistor, make sure it 3.58Kohm, then boot up phone , then do "self-test"

also check FLASH ID:00 that flash rom., and make sure 007F0000-007FFFFF
can be "earse/read" !

it already clear , that "zocus" line for CBUS test ,,,, not pass
try to measure the 1Mhz clk,, also check line cut ..if all ok,
then replace zocus !
****************************
Passed - ST_UEM_CBUS_IF_TEST
Fail - ST_ZOCUS_CBUS_IF_TEST
****************************

you need to make this test , special for EXT SRAM :
ST_LPRF_IF_TEST
ST_EXTERNAL_RAM_TEST
ST_IR_IF_TEST
ST_KEYB_LINE_TEST

****************************

the past time, if zocus not working , you can see "color line" on LCD, blinking for 8 times after you press power on key !

Khalifa Smart is very smart. He is absulately right. I've changed this ic from my old set in 3 to 4 cases. So go through that.
