A strange 6280

Hi folks,

I have a strange 6280. It came to me dead. I have flashed the phone with both Jaf and HWK. Both tools flash sucessfully, but the phone does not power on. When I change to "normal mode" in Jaf, The screen turns light grey, and the keypad lights up. When I run self tests with Jaf, it passes all except lcd test. Funny thing is, when I take the lcd and test it with another handset, it works well.

I would appreciate some advice from hardware gurus on this forum. Thanks!

You know that the power switch is connected to the mainboard by the flex cable! If the phone goes into normal mode via flash cable, then you should change the flex. Do you hear a sound when connecting charger btw?

Yes, I can hear a sound when I connect charger. The phone does not show anything on the screen. It only changes colour from black to a light grey.

Hi all,

I have tried to change both flex and display IC, no change. Anyone know the location of boot IC on this model?
