Symbian N70 Nokia Virus Help - GSM-Forum

Hello there,

Unfortunatly ive been infected with the skulls virus......i have done some research but unfortunatly i have turned the phone off and now all that loads is the inital nokia at the bottem, it fades out and then appears again as if on a loop.

Many of the removal methods seem to depend and focus on phones that havn't been turned off since the virus is installed. The reason i switched off my phone was that it was sending SMS msgs to my contacts and wanted to remove my SIM while i figured out the problem.

I have another clean phone and a card reader for my PC and was wondering if anyone can help. I have installed the remover tool onto another memory card and placed it into the infacted phone, but as i say, the phone loops during startup.

I have even held the pen button during startup trying to get into safe mode.

Any help would be much appreciated!

manualy format the phone
and format memory card
call+3+* and switch on

thanks anyways but i found the manual master restart.

Make sure power is fullish then press and hold Call button (green key) Star (*) and 3 key and then powerup (while still holding the buttons)

hold for 30-60secs then let go and the phone should reset itself and ask for your city/time etc.
