Member: 109009 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | i had bought a water damaged 6230 for only $15, i took it to a repair shop where they charged me $80. The problem was that there was Corrosions by the main power supply. Try locating a PCS repair center near you |

Member: 12274 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 12 | try to clean the set with ultrasonic cleaner, if not work try reflow flash, ram, app. ram, tiku upp, helga,small dc-dc conv. near batt connector, try full flash etc. |

Member: 61541 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | I have repaired many water damaged phones.Do this: 1) Remove all parts from pcb (which can be removed without soldering) 2) Put pcb into ultrasonic cleaner 3) Clean pcb with isopropylalcohol 4) If needed use FLUX to resolder contacts 5) Clean pcb with isopropylalcohol 6) Fullflash phone For me 75% success! |

I also have water damaged 6230.I cleaned it and now when i try to switch it on color lines appear on the displey for a few seconds and then phone is off.Sometimes even the backlight ot the displey is working but only for a few seconds. What should i do,how to repair this phone? Give me a hint,if it's possible with picture. thanks in advantage |

Member: 12274 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 12 | yes, there are a lot of repair solutions for water damaged phones like cleaning with ultrasonic, reballing ic's, locating the most affected zone, cleaning it from oxydes wich short connections, rebuilding broken track's etc.. The most important thing...an water damaged phone presents no more warranty of correct functionality in the future... |
