Why don't you use stellar photo recovery tool, if you have to recover the lost images. This software supports for almost all image formats and you can also see the preview of recoverable items with the trial version of the software.

Recover Memory card software is really superb in recovering lost pics. they support almost every picture format and you can use it for each type of memory or SD/XD cards available in the market.

Its not special software. Recover my files fat/ntfs will also work. When something gets formatted or deleted it really don't get deleted just the index entry or the index file gets removed. With formatted hdd I can recover it in under 10 min. Instead of scanning the whole drive I just scan the beginning where the index.dat file is located and recovering it and just write it to disk again. Doesn't matter the drive size everything back like it was. Now with a memory card all you do is use a card reader then use file recovery software you normally use on your pc. Uneraser is one of the best for me. It can even recover data that was erased with a few passes.
