Back door servers might be but I get mine done direct from O2 and their servers are not down although it does take 2 weeks to activate unlock.

Have you tried e_bay? (remove the underscore as forum wont allow to write website) I have found some sellers have cheaper price (various networks) than most of the servers used by trade.
Dont forget to look at sellers feedback

Yes theyve always been more expensive than anyone else for most things BUT if no other option is available they can charge what they like. Be thankful your phone not locked to "3", thats what I call expensive.

After looking at other sites the price from fonefunshop is quite competetive although if you knew someone with O2 contract then you could get it done much cheaper.
