Telcel mexico palm pre gsm - need to unlock - network subsidy unlock code wanted

I recently purchased a carrier locked Telcel Mexico GSM Palm Pre at retail price from Telcel without a contract. My plan was to use a RebelSIM card as the unlock solution allowing me to use my AT&T SIM card in the device.

I had chosen the RebelSIM card as my unlock solution after hearing that it successfully provided an unlock solution for users of the locked O2 UK GSM Palm Pre in Europe.

Unfortunately my assumption a RebelSIM card would provide similar results in a Telcel GSM Palm Pre as it had in the O2 UK GSM Palm Pre was incorrect. Although the folks at RebelSIM card company are still working on coming up with a solution for me, it doesn't appear likely they will be able to help me, at least not anytime soon.

Therefore, I'm left searching for an alternative unlock solution for this device. Can anyone here help me? Please!

Addendum: If removing the Telcel WebOS firmware is required I can flash the device to Sprint WebS Doctor version 1.2.1 firmware. Even though the device is a GSM device, the Sprint CDMA Web OS 1.2.1 firmware has been tested successfully on it. The device is fully operational with that version loaded as long as it has a Telcel SIM card inserted. Insertion of any other network SIM card causes the phone application to default to it's "enter network subsidy unlock code" screen. Based on information I've read in other threads here, I am assuming that after flashing with the non-Telcel firmware (Operating System) I will be able to unlock the device using its network subsidy unlock code. Any help in retrieving the correct code is appreciated. I can forward the devices IMEI # on request.
