Unlocking equipment

I have been doing electronic repair since the 1990's, the beeper days. Ive been dabbling in cellphone repair, mostly LCD replacement and Charging port replacement since 2012. I am ready to start offering full phone repair service, which will included unlocking services.. I see there are lots of companies that I can order an unlock code over the internet/phone without sending the phone. I also see companies selling hardware that will allow me to unlock the phone myself.

Here is my question: If I am going to make a profit from unlocking phones, how can I do that without using my own hardware? If I can call a company and order a code on the internet, then so can my customer so why would he pay me.

I would like to hear for some of the internet unlocking companies on why I should use their service, and I also need to hear from companies who sell the unlocking hardware so I know how much I will need to invest into their equipment to unlock the most popular phones here in the U.S.A.

I am looking to purchase the equipment within the next week, so please respond as soon as possible.

John, before I saw your message. I thought HDBox engineer manager is very crazy. For he do think the same way as you think. So for the HDBox,the next update will be the one you wanted.

there are many reasons why he needs to pay you,correct me if im wrong if i mistaken to understand your question.

first we talk about example FREE request unlock codes you did from network company.
Why he needs to Pay?

its just because you doing business not charity.you do business because you wanted to earn.
because of your effort to talk and get the codes to unlock his device

another reason is it depends on you,if you think your effort are priceless and you do free service for clients you are free also to do.
but for this process it gives an impact for other people who doing service like yours and they getting payments accourding to customer and coders agreement.
the impact is market price killing.

another reason is,mostly unlocking now is base on codes only,so its not the reason if we can do easly without using hardware method we will give to our client for free.
even hardware base process you still need to use free,like you searching on google how's to do and it was 30% of success came from procedure..


there are many ways to be a good samaritan without bad outcome for our business.
remember you help 1 person but thousands of coders suffer if ever.
