Is there any way to reset the lock code or security code without using any external hardware?

Both codes have been changed so pressing menu and entering six 0's doesn't work!

Only with a testcard, emmibox or a asim interface. So ONLY with some hardware!

Asim is the easyest you could make a SIMPLE interface with a old datacable and a "old" simcard

use search function in motorola section with janus

and go to his page!

do you know the security code ?

default security code is 000000

if you do then you can find the lock code by pressing "menu" when the phone asks for unlock code, then enter the security code and it will show you the current lock code.

Thanks Nabs but the security code was changed too, I already knew about that.

I paid somebody with a test card £5 to do it for me, and now I'm gonna look into this janus thingy for the future!

Hello forum members. I have a Motorola Timeport, and when i turn it on it ask for the security code.

Nabs:

default security code is 000000

However the Timeport only allows you to enter 4 keys. When i enter 000000 it says "Too many keys".

What is the solution other than the test card. Can this be done via IR or cable.

Any help would be appreciated.

try to press the menu button and select change unlock code and when asked for security code try 000000.

the default LOCK code is 1234. not 000000 (that is the default security code)
