Can the IMEI be changed on mOTOROLA V 300? bought one and the buggers been turned off. I know its ilegal in the UK but I'm in Holland.

i would doubt if an imei changer will be around for Vxxx series.i would think that they will be OTP imei.....

OTP IMEI is "One Time Programmable "...ie. the same as nokia's .The only way of changing imei is to replace IC.Interestingly i changed a screen on one V525 the other day with a screen from a barred phone.....the phone was then barred....IMEI is on board which screen is connected to...ie. in the flip.

Just to confirm to you that no an imei in these phones cannot be changed as yes it is in the otp . you would have to change the uem of the phone and reprogram it but as far as im aware there is no program available to change uem details for motorolas as yet.

sorry i know its s stupid question but just for my knowlege does UEM data get erased if we take of UEM from one phone to another i mean lets say if i have phone with broken screen cant i use that UEM for a barred phone !!!!!

nah m8 , the imei is stored on the fone... change as many lcd's as u want but that wont change the imei .

Yes, maybe you used the display of barred phone.

This is re-using, not imei change

i know...you could be right..i had that many bits of phones lying about ..... however it's not just a straight lcd in the flip....there is another board with micro on it....

I'll double check this as i don't like miss-information
