E398 Unlock via Flash Backup 2.6 ?

I have Flash Backup 2.6 and USB cable,
Want to remove Subsidy code, Can anyone tell me where I can fid USB drivers for E398 and how i can use Flashback to remove the code

I installed the driver but I think it was not the right driver for E398, now my computer finds the right driver but cann't install, when it finds E398 usb driver it tries to install modem driver for device and then it says "An error occured blah blah" and don\'t install completly.. i think its problem with registery ,, how i can remove the old drivers completly from registery?

MANY MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE
Pakstar

Hi mates

1 Right click on my computer then choice proprities
2 Added in environment variables DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
3 delete all motorola related hidden drivers from the device manager
4 copy drivers to windirectory\system32\drivers
5 connect and do jobs. (You must point to the above directory)

By the way visit this nice site

Needed drivers For XP.

Maybe the drivers link don't work then enter the site and past the link.
Best regards,
Aishur

Hi mates,

1 If it's E398 with BL higher than 07.D0 You have to lower it to 07.D0.

2 Use flashbackup (for safety reason with unlocker) to backup the pds
(You can also make a full backup 32 Mo)

3 use final or motorola_unlocker_2005 to unlock it.

4 Enjoy

For E398s be careful.

As you see it the same method as here

Best regards,
Aishur

make a backup of your pds BEFORE you do that. I don`t think this method works anyways...

This one works I believe...

In my case, I didn't do any backups, flex etc.. I just installed usb drivers for Original USB cable that came with phone E398, flashbackup 2.5 detected the phone, I clicked on Remove subsidy code, it removed the code.
Note: it was written u can only try once to remove subsidy code if doesn't work, then other way
so mine work first time ...
didn't try again..

Hi mates,

I think you have a bl lower than or equal 07.d0.
If you have damaged the pds your phone must be now dead. Original pds still needed and required, it is like teh zone for alcatel.

I am sure for higher BL , your method don't work.

By the way what BL have you.

Best regards,
Aishur

Hi mates

I wanna warn stuborn and blind unlockers to avoid your method. Before you press the "remove subsidy code" button in the fb 2.5, you must read what is written on its right side (Only one unlocking attempt is posssible. On fail, Restore your orginal PDS!). Then where is your PDS? hehehe... I don't gamble with customer's phones.

This button has been removed in the flashbackup upgrade in order to work properly with PDS (Simulation).

Read your PDS and restore it, you will be surprised.

By the way, I think E398 are R372 Serie instead of R374

Finally, I have no needs to argue , continue like you do and you are in the "straight" path to Sunday unlockers (tinkers) place.

Best regards,
Aishur

Bootloader version has nothing to do with it, i think. Every moto that I tried - worked. In case Flashbackup doesn't remove the lock then check if you have the latest version of the program.
