Which flash tools are good for 3G phones

I try to flash V980/E1000 ,using PST or RSD LITE ,but cannot get connected.

Those tools are good for other phones like V3/V600/V360........,but just cannot get connected for 3G phones.

Someone give me some advice ,please.
