Help!! All You Clever Techies - Unlocking V66 - GSM-Forum

Hello

Ive got A motorola V66 Which Ive bought from Ebay.

I got the phone its a V66 on the Orange Network, i got a USB lead with it which goes in the bottom.

What do i need to unlock it to all networks. Is ther A simple Unlocker, which will work with USB lead.

So how will i unlock to all networks, and how do i get the USB lead to work with the phone, and what software do i need to unlock phone.

Any help or uploads would be greatly appreciated. I have Ftp to upload to.

Right, ive managed to do the following to Get towards unlocking my v66 phone:

Downloaded Victor GSM 323 and installed it and installed all the Drivers and USB driver, my machine picks up the Phone and can read it and reset the Security Code etc.

Now The Software version is the following:

SAP4_G_01.01.6CR

Language Pack: 0005

What file do i need, to unlock the phone is it a VFL file ??

and what name would it be, the nearest i have downloaded is:

sap4_g_010171r_lang0005_ful.rar

will this work ???

Also can anyone give me any tips to flash, do i need to watch for anything or do anything b4 i flash, also will i need to do anything while its flashing.

Any helkp would be appreciated.

no need to flash there is a Unlock section of the software press unlock and thats it

Even on the Cracked Version ????

Thought you could only flash on the Cracked Version??

yes evenon the cracked version but not all v66 are supported

Ive done it now mate, it did work and with USB cable on Win2k and With the V66 mobile.

Victor 3.2.3 only use with V66 4m flash and not V66 8M flash!!!!!!!
If your phone type is 8M flash you must full flash its for unlocking!!!!!!!!!

i've a v66i
can i unlock it with Victor GSM 323 and serial cable???
or must i completely flash it?

Judging by what Hakima said and what i read, you must flash it. Use Victor to Get your Software Number, and then look for the relavant Flashes.

Pippolo!

V66i cannot be unlocked with Vic323crk! (unlock button)
Vic323 only supports 4M models(V60,V66,V70,T280) for unlock.
The i versions are 8M models(In your case the Sw is SAP8.
), having Java or other
additonal applications.
Maybe there is a "flash way", or in version 3.4X or 3.5X
it is already included:-)

yes, it has java applicatios,

so i can't flash it with victor 323.....

the only way to unlock is to find or buy an unlock code i think....

em i right??
