Help with my C33x. IT'S DEAD - GSM-Forum

Help please, i was flashing my C33x with victor under win98se but when it started writing the flash an error occurred, now it doesn't turn on or anything, I've installed w2k but windows does not recognize my phone, what can I do? PLEASE HELP ME!!!

What can I do to repair it?

how can I re-flash it if windows doesn't recognize the phone?

is there a way to install the drivers manually?

if yes How?

If I can get my hands on another C33x and install the drivers, do you think I can re-flash my phone then? if yes how?

don't need to pull uot the battery...
Try again.Battery must be full.
If don't work try to press * and # simultan when flasher search the phone.....

Well well.
many times it's been said.
Short pins 13-14 on connector, and most likely victor soft detects phone.
Anyway press reset just for safety's sake on the phone.
Then press power on. Don't bother yourself if you don't see anything on screen. It's normal.
After that with pins 13-14 shorted for me Victor soft always detect phone. You can also check up in your device manager, to see if there is Motorola Flasher Interface installed in your USB peripherials section.

hey!! short pin 13 and 14 on which cable???.....the usb cable for c3xx motorola???...Cmon!!!

...what you should do is, remove the plastic coverings on the phone, (the one covering the back and the front), then with the phone screen facing you, to the left side near the screen up, you ll see a small switch....rock the switch to the other position for a couple of minutes...maybe 1 minutes or less and return to its original position.

Then try flashing again......

thanks a lot, I finally solved my problem, I installed winXP and used a friend's c33x to install the drivers, the I connected my phone to the cable and it recognized the flash interface, after that, I flashed it and it's working now.

But thanks a lot for your help...

when you flash mot c3xx u must flash it under win 200 or xp. under win 98 the program freezes while flashing
so flash uner xp or 2000 and start passo under win 98

Im sure i have c33x and i dont know why flash.exe tells me this.

should i ignore this or what?
