help on pst2 v66 unlock

I have original serial and usb motorola cables and pst software how do i use this software are there any instructions anywhere on what to do i would be very gratful for some help

Motorola V60/V66 Unlocking System

This Software Will Only Work On Windows 98SE

Setting up the v66 Drivers

You need a v66/v60/

Make sure you have nothing installed to do with the v66 software etc. Then install PST by JIC Electronics. Now extract the driver packs into the PST folder (C:\Program Files\Motorola\PST)
Now restart the computer.
When the computer has started back up, Connect the phone and point everything to the PST folder, When everything is installed, Restart the computer and disconnect the phone.
When the computer has rebooted, Run PST.exe or Phone Flasher.exe and connect the phone, You should now see one of these:

USB Device
Motorola (v.series 66) phone

When these come up, If it is the USB Device shown, and it asks for drivers again point it to the PST folder, You are wanting the USB Device to be shown first!
Then you should see Motorola (v.series 66) Phone appear, and it should start flickering on and off, Between P2Kx (where x Is a number) and Motorola v.series phone screens, When that has done, Restart the computer and run PST/Phone flasher.exe, You should now have the device in the corner of the screen to select before flashing.
If you did it well done
If not, Try again…. (


Connect the phone via the USB cable

Make sure its powered on

Run PST.exe, which is located START>>PROGRAM FILES>>MOTOROLA PST>>FLASH & TEST COMMANDS

Go to the browse button next to the file name dialog box and open the file called V66E to C GB.shx

Now in the bottom left of the screen, highlight the device using your mouse (V66 PK port 0)

After doing this the FLASH button should be highlighted, click on this and wait for the flashing process to finish…this should take about 2-3 minutes



Now shut down PST.exe program and run phone programmer, this is located in START>>PROGRAM FILES>>MOTOROLA PST>>PHONE PROGRAMMER

Go to file and open…Select pFlex

You will be greeted with the message “Are you sure you want to start Flexing?”
Click on “YES”

Select the file called V66 E to C GB.hs

Another window will appear, just select RUN

When all is done program will tell you “Programming Complete”

Phone is now unlocked and may be showing Chinese!

Don’t worry you can change back to English very easily, by inserting card of your choice and doing this…..
MENU = top middle button
SELECT = top right button
UP,DOWN = arrow keys

Press MENU once, then UP once, and then SELECT
Then UP once, and then SELECT
Then DOWN seven times, and then SELECT

Then just select ENGLISH and press SELECT

dont mean to sound stypid but where are the driver pack when unzipped i only hav four files notepad /shx/sh/and instalation prog

You can download the driver packs from cellgate who host the pst software.

I still haven't been able to get the software to work though, i've followed these instructions perfectly & the psthelp that you can download from the same site but every time after i connect the phone and direct the add new hardware to the pst folder i just get "windows was unable to locate a driver for this device". The file P2K.inf is 100% in the PST folder.

Anybody got any other ideas?

i have managed to get a bit further but now when in flasher i get not able to initialise wibu component

When you try and install the p2k.inf files, select the second pk driver in the list. (I think there are about 6 to choose from) windows should then detect further devices. just keep telling it program files\motorola\pst. for the location of any drivers, and all should be o.K

it doesn't even find the p2k.inf, there isn't a list of six - all it will let me install is the motorola modem

grrr, time to try again from the beginning!

Beware this software screws up imei.
there is prog to change imei but info on serial lead and how to run prog is not yet available.

The IMEI software is "ATE" when you work it out for a while, it is very simple to change IMEI on a V66 etc. The serial lead (no diagrams sadly) will also flash and flex the phone, so if the IMEI thing worries you (the networks might ban the number, as they are always the same). Just buy a serial lead and forget the usb cable.
P.s you only have to install the main program for PST and everything works straight away.

infact original motorola v60/v66 soft V2.8.7.9.4 can work at

win98/2000/net/xp no any problem.

only the cracked soft can only work at win98.
