help with v66 - GSM-Forum

Hello I’m located in Windsor On Ca. and I have been trying to unlock phones as a hobby. I have a V66 and a V60i and I have a original serial cable with the with the charging port and also a serial cable with a 9v battery clip and a usb cable(which I can not get to work). I have the victor gsm cracked and it lets me do everything including unlocking but it only gets as far as he first part successfully then it starts on the second and then fails and it says if this does not work after trying a second time contact victor gsm support. I’m using XP and Victor gsm3.2.3 Please help Jean I’ve been trying on and off for 2 weeks Is it a dat abl poblem?

I have been reading all the posts but have not found a solution that works for me. i tried PST and the phone will not go into flash mode same with Victor 3.2.3 cracked could it be because of XP? Sorry but just saying use the search feature is not helpfull actually it just frustrates me more Thanks anyway Jean

We all go through the frustrations, but the solution to unlocking the v66 was right there in the forum.

I have tried this solution but it fails going into flash mode and i get this error "PSTGetInterfaceHandle Failed!!"please help Jean

you can get your phone code by apply *#300#
hardware and software version.

My problem with the v66 firmware SAP4G 01.06.20r tmobile is i'm trying to unlock it. I used FDI and i recovered the phone successfully. I tried to get MSS 3.6 to run on my machine but i get Hasp not found no matter what i do i tried loading mss.3.5.2 and use that hasp emulator i even tried it on my laptopto no avail (they both have XP PRO) so i looked high and low and found a flash for Radiocomm used it and the phone powers up let's me use my sim but it searches for the network and then Rogers pops up on the display but when i try to make a call it ries for a minute then says call failed. It cant find the network . Do i need to flex it? I'm so frustrated Thanks for ant help Jean

Why dont u use an earlier version of cracked victor, I used version 3.x I think and it works fine.

I got mss 3.6 to work finally!! thanks to those who helped!!
I used the fdi tool to Recover the phone then i used mss 3.6 to flex the core files "V66i_Core_EMEA_T1_WST_GC5S0E10BC.vhs" then i used RadioComm to flexthe display file "ic3_3_sapphire_2"
The phone accepts the sim it Says Rogers but it cannot find any netwoks so the phone will dial out or recieve calls. Could i have used the wrong core file ? my phone is Tmobile "SAP4G01.06.20r" Thanks again Jean

First off thanks to Oleg, Titus and Cicada for all the helpand anyone else who contributed. I used FDI tool to recover the phone, then used MSS 3.6(cracked) to flex a North American core file then flexed with the display file it worked!!! Thanks again Jean
