L6 phonebook code

when enter phonebook. phone asks enter unlock code. how to remove this feature? i know the code. but just want to remove this protecttion. already tried:

1. menu > ettings > security > lock application. all applications are unlocked.

2. master reset and master clear use smart clip + smartmoto

3. master reset and master clear in phone as well

Phone Menu -> Settings --> Security ---> Phone lock ----> Automatic Lock ----->off.

its software error then coz after getting the master reset phone will erase every user code as the code is 000000 that is 6 time 0. nothing left in this thread.

So what you need to do is

Phone Menu -> Settings --> Security ---> Lock application----> Enter 1234 or current lock ----->Phonebook ------->unlocked.

yes. all code has been reset to default after master reset\clear. 1234\000000

there is no "phonebook" options in "..........lock application" folder. maybe my L6 is different from yours. my was on vodafone uk.

I don't think is software problem.

if any of you got a L6. why not try to lock the phonebook and tell me how to revese it. that would be a great help.

I tried on my e770, on all moto phones should be the same: Phone Menu -> Settings -> Security -> Lock application -> Enter 1234 -> Contacts -> Locked. Then the contacts were locked. The same procedure: Phone Menu -> Settings -> Security -> Lock application -> Enter 1234 -> Contacts -> Unlocked and the contacts were unlocked.

for some reason this L6 hasn't got "phonebook or contacts" inside "lock applications" folder. it does has "databook" on the list and is showing unlocked along with everything else all showing unlocked. yet phonebook lock still on.

problem solved. phone no longer require unlock code to access phonebook.
how? I am not sure. because i was trying all kind fuctions and press all different keys. all i can remeber are last few things i did:

use smartmoto to clear lifetime meter
Phone Menu -> Settings -> Security -> restrict calls -> enter unlock code -> 1234 -> outgoing calls -> allow none
Phone Menu -> Settings -> Security -> restrict calls -> enter unlock code -> 1234 -> incoming calls -> allow none
then reversed sbove 2 fuctions
press and hold # key for 10 seconds
press and hold * key for 10 seconds
press and hold menu key for 10 seconds
also press and hold many other keys
change simcards

whoa, phonebook code request dissapeared. but not sure which 1 did trick.
