Motorola PST Phone Programmer Software.

(AKA PST) Among other things, this software allows you to flash/flex the phone. An active connection between your phone and PST is required for P2KSeem to connect to your phone. From the FAQ at HowardForums... "Motorola's PST is a program used in service centers across the country and world for basic repair and upgrading of Motorola phones. Features include flashing/flexing phones, changing NAM settings, enable/disable Java app. loader menu, etc.

Not available for legal download to the public, only available in Motorola Service Centers."
NOTE: If you are planning on converting from Verizon to Alltel firmware, you'll want PST 7.25 or later!!
Pst 7.25 can backup some of the necessary files from the V3C/V3M/K1M. Not available on previous versions

Java Application Loading:

"We allow any GSM developer to send us their GSM phone to enable the JAL MIDlet Loader and KDWP debugger (KDWP is only available on MIDP 2.0 Devices with Aplix jBlend kVM). Our turn-around time is 5 to 10 working business days, that's our goal. Sorry, we don't have another way to grant access through OTA or by letting you download a program to enable JAL in your phone at this time."

This was taken from the MOTOcoder website which is the official source of java development for Motorola Phones.

I'm not sure why they won't let you download the program to enable JAL (Java Application Loader) on the phone seeing as how they already created one.
you can do it yourself in about 5 min.!!!

Warning
after you run the installer you must copy the patch to the program directory and run that to enable all the features.
