Motorola V186 Unlocking - GSM-Forum

Hi

I have been tring to unlock a V186 but no luck.

It looks just like the V180 (on the outside) but it has a different bootloader, 8.23.

As you know this wont unlock directly using P2K Easy Tool v39.
So I thought of using testpoint but the V18x layout in Testpoint Station is different from the V186 layout. (Anyone has the proper layout?)

Question is: How Do You Unlock This Phone?

Also does anyone have a Flash File for V186 that enable it to work on the 900 MHz?

BUT YOUR PROBLEM CAN BE SOLVED WITH USB SMART 3.7

SELECT V180 AND TICK ON UNLOCK SP PRESS DO SELECTED JOB........

BOOT LOADER IS SUPPORTED WITHOUT TP..

IF YOU GET ERROR POST LOG FROM USB SMART ...AT HERE.....

I've unlocked a v186 with P2k Easy Tool v3.7, just select v186, unlock SP and do selected jobs.
