Need help with unlocking my V3(Razor) - GSM-Forum

hello guys...i just purchased a V3 but it is locked to some networks ...i can use it with only the company i bought the simcard and the phone from....if i leave to another place and i use another company simcard ...it doesn't work...i just want to unlock it so it starts working anywhere with any company .......can anyone help me

Hi mates

1 Downgrade the bootloader to 07.D0
for 8.26 use scotty2_8.26_downgrader
for 8.23 flash BootLoader_07D0_for_0823 with mmf or rsd

2 use flashbackup2.62 (for security reason with unlocker) to backup the pds
(You can also make a full backup 32 Mo)

3 use final or motorola_unlocker_2005 to unlock it.

Rather than taking the chance of f***ing it up why dont you take it to shop to unlock it? should only cost between 15 - 20 euro

unless you have lots to do will be cheapest / safest option

right guys...but here in canada shops can not unlock any phone...it's prorhibited...and costs too much to unlock by pplz who have these programs

sorry to jump on the thread. ive a v3 razr too v8.26.
guy said it can be unlocked no prob using smart usb tool.
ive got the cables etc. but the software says ive to use test point on that model
?any ideas

The importing thing to do is make sure your battery is fully charge, and don't touch your computer or phone untill it say Bootloader is now 7.D0, have fun modding!

It took me less then 20 minute to downgrade and search for MotoUnlocker and unlock and ready to go to work after that.

Turn phone on (in bootloader mode) plug usb, wait until computer finalize it initiations.
Make sure the driver is installed correctly. Then, open the downgrader. It should be fine.

Used your 4 step process on my V3 black razr by Cingular with bootloader version 8.26.

1st- Downgraded - Done

2nd- FlashBackUp - Done

3rd- Motorola_unlocker_2005_free - Done and everything worked beautifully!

4th Say " I Unlocked my V3 Myself" - Priceless!

cuz its the safty way for all motorola
