Network Faults Of Motorola 3g Mobiles - GSM-Forum

There's the need for us to look into this particular problem. As at a few weeks ago when i got my first case on an A1000 piece i tried all i could to restore the phone back to normal to no avail!
As the pcb components of the new 3G phones are sealed i ruled out the possibilty of a hardware fault but after every possible attempt using software solution i ended up having to heat the pcb. still no network.
Now i've had an A835 with a somewhat lesser but annoying problem. it logs on the network alright but won't make or recieve calls.
How do we start to approach this problem properly as all tyhe cases that have come to my shop are nearly new 'not tampered phones'
Any information regarding the operaion of this sets and how to solve this faults would be gladly appreciated.

The problem you have with this phone, i had the same with nokia, in my case solution was in RF,i remove,rebuilt contacts on RF, put it back and rehoot contacts on the RF and it was ok.I think that your RF is not having good contact on board and that is causing you this problem. Hope that I helped.

thank you very much for your help. i haven't checked this thread in a while and i happen to have another piece of the A835 with same fault i explained.Not sure i know what you mean by RF but i'm hoping the filters is what you meant.All the same i'mo give it a try and post results here.
